"Action is the foundational key to success."
My childhood was loaded with all sorts of trauma, including my parent’s divorce, raised by a single young mother, childhood adversity and bullying. Despite all these circumstances, I could proudly say, I am a resilient Latina. As you read this, I am overcoming all this so-called “baggage” and putting all those excuses and limitations aside. All these adversities have not only made me the person I am today, but they have strengthened my courage, driving me to excel my aspirations. This independence and drive has helped me conquer without seeking the approval of others. If you want to do something, DO IT!
As a young Hispanic and first generation American, I want to empower and inspire future generations who are struggling with shortcomings, insecurities, and mind-created barriers that inhibit them from accomplishing what they want. Everybody’s story is different, and we Hispanics are authentic, strong, passionate and resilient. Hispanics are strong because we are unified. I’ve had the honor to meet inspirational Hispanics who have pushed me to excel, creating an empire with struggles and adversity. Action is the foundational key to success.
I can proudly say that I have excelled throughout my education and career. The key secret is to push yourself to exceed and take control. My struggles have humbled me to be passionate, loving, and compassionate. I love to help others and give back to my community. As a public health advocate, a Hispanic leader, and female warrior, I continue to conquer my passion to help others by empowering, educating, and inspiring.
Nothing is easy in life. You just need courage to get started and keep pushing. If you have courage, you can accomplish anything. Is important to learn, adversity makes you strong. My life experiences have taught me that the limit to your success and happiness, is in your mind. If many have accomplished great things, you could do the same. What is stopping you? Those limitations are in your head.
We Hispanics have heritage, beliefs, values and shortcomings that follow us through generations. Many have immigrated to the United States to make a better life for their families. Sometimes those values and beliefs keep us from expecting and asking for more. Hispanics, we rise and we conquer!
